4th Dimension Winter AR racers: First off, a big thanks to everyone that has already signed up, we are very happy and overwhelmed by the registration flurry!
- To those of you that have not registered yet but are planning on doing so, please do it quickly, as we currenly have about 70 people registered, and will cut off at 90 racers, to assure a safe and fun race with no hickups.
- Along with this we would like to also thank all the volunteers that have stepped up without us even having to twist some arms, great to be staffed by such capable volunteers! ( http://4thdar.com/volunteering.aspx)
- Waiver: Please make sure to print out the emergency waiver (each person!) here: http://4thdar.com/waiver.aspx , sign it and bring it to the race. Note that the waiver asks for insurance and physician information.
- For safety reasons, we ask that each team carry a cell phone with them at all times. If your team has not yet provied us with a TEAM CELL PHONE # yet, please do so.
- There are still a few rooms at the lodge the night before the race, if you are interested, make sure to reserve a room by sending us an email. It is 65$ tax, (70.01$), bring cash or write a check (to us), we will reimburse the lodge in one big check, that is the only way they deal with groups.
- Evening before the race: For all of you that will be staying up there the evening before the race, we will serve a simple dinner, check you in, and show the Primal Quest DVD from last year's Utah race to get you fired up, before sending you to bed!
- For the dinner, we will have a chicken noodle and vegetarian soup, AKA stone soup style (http://stonesoup.esd.ornl.gov/stonesoup.html), we have done this several times at previous races and it always turns out great... so bring your favorite can of vegetable to share.... Post race: Bruce will, as always, cook up a mean chili and many other warm meals including vegetarian options.
- Checkin will be at 6pm-9pm Saturday Feb 3rd, and 5am-6.45am on Sunday Feb 4th morning. At 7am sharp we will do the raffle. We are very lucky to secure some terrific sponsors this year, so we need some time for the raffle, it will be worth your while. Even more importantly, the pre-race briefing needs to start on-time so we can start the race at 8am sharp. You NEED to be checked in by 6.45am or we cannot guarantee that you will be able to start on-time.
